Most of the cities of Mesoamerica were colorful, much more than we usually picture them.

The thatch roof is theorical. The ruins of the building don't give clue to wht type of roof the temple had, but such roofs are sometimes depicted in the mesoamerican iconography, which means some temples did support such high rise vegetal-material roof.
